Economic Empowerment

We at the Meron Estefanos Foundation aim to contribute to the social and financial empowerment of the vulnerable and disadvantaged in society, mostly in rural societies. This shall be through these among the following activities:

Providing school going girls through scholastic materials and bursaries, life skill trainings, dignity kits and tech. Meron Estefanos Foundation shall provide bursaries to academically able students from economically disadvantaged regions and parts of Africa. These shall be aimed to enable to provide second chance opportunities and psycho-social support and facilitate pathways for students to internships, industrial practice and employment.
Providing internship and research training for graduates from different tertiary institutions who are interested in the field of human rights.
Organizing volunteer service from Europe and North America to provide basic coding training and other social services for vulnerable members of society.
Distributing revolving fund and provide entrepreneurship training for the economically disadvantaged to support and establish small scale businesses to supplement their lives.
Deliver vocation skill and right based trainings for refugee migrants in their pre-departure weeks to ensure their safety.
Assist the needy in finding fellowship programs and advocate for scholarships to pursue their professional goals in the future.
Organizing community conversation and youth dialogue about human trafficking and smuggling.
